Dr. Ansab Khwaja is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacements, treating conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and degenerative disorders.
With proficiency in advanced surgical techniques he provides personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Dr. Khwaja’s comprehensive and patient-centric care, along with his dedication to open communication, ensures that patients are well-informed and actively involved in their healthcare decisions.

He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and completed his undergraduate and medical school at the University of Washington, where he earned the “Outstanding First Year Sports Medicine Intern” award and another one for community service.

He attended the University of Arizona for his orthopaedic surgery residency where he earned the coveted Department Chair Award, and published multiple academic papers, posters, and book chapters, earning the resident research award.

He completed his fellowship in hip and knee replacement at Yale University gaining experience in the direct anterior hip approach, a minimally invasive technique for hip replacement. He has experience with robotics and computer navigation, and uses technology when appropriate to enhance surgical precision, reduce invasiveness, and improve patient outcomes. He has a special interest in outpatient joint replacement, where patients can recover in their own homes earlier.

In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, biking, skiing, and cheering for the Seahawks.
